Samsung keyboard vs Gboard! On one side we have the native keyboard that Samsung ships with all their smartphones. On the other side is Google’s offering called Gboard, which many consider to be the best android keyboard period. Following months of frustration using the Samsung keyboard on my Galaxy s9, I had enough and installed gboard.

googles voice typing may be better then Bixby but it's down right horrible compared to the Samsung default keyboard one.

It's a bit small for me
To use Gboard makes you accept permissions to agree it collects EVERYTHING you type including credit cards etc No way !!!!!
Quick tip for the backspace swipe to delete words, if you swipe to the letter m it deletes one word, swipe to n and it deletes two words and so on…
I had no idea about some of these and I've been using Gboard for years, even on the iPhone
I like SwiftKey a little better than Gboard because I like my default auto-suggestion to be in the center, not on the left, and I like deleting whole words by tapping and holding the backspace key, not just start deleting characters faster.
Honestly, I don't know why Samsung phones are still as popular as they are. My last Samsung phone was the Galaxy S1 if I don't count the Galaxy S7 that I bought and returned after 1 week because of how slow and laggy it was after running GPS and streaming music over Bluetooth while charging in direct sunlight. I've never had a problem with any other phone doing this. So I'm guessing Samsung phones have an overheating problem as the CPU was getting thermal throttling. It got so bad that it took a full 5 seconds to bring up the Recent Apps screen after tapping on the button, on a brand new phone.

I wish Samsung brought back the Android KitKat version of their keyboard. So much more accurate than anything now.

1 week in and I like the gboard as well. I feel that we are too deep in the texting game to have sooo many typos with a samsung keyboard.
